WELCOME

REFRESHMENT FOR THE WEARY PILGRIM
Developing prayer blog intended for the weary Christian that needs refreshment, just as the title of this blog describes it. We’ll begin with prayerfully meditating Exodus 15:26.
-
"If thou will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee."
-
Father God, this prayer ministry now prays for the weary pilgrim that is just tired, perhaps disappointed, maybe even bitter. Worst of all, perhaps there is doubt that You’ve left, and doubt for Your love. It’s been a long journey, and it has not always been paved with rose petals. After having gone through the Red Sea, and around the mountain, this pilgrim is now thirsty and weary.
-
Manifest Your Presence, let Your loving voice be heard. Let there be sweet communion. May complaints be turned into praise and thanksgiving by the reminder of Your faithfulness. Bring remembrance also about the bitter bondage of the world, alienated from You. May Your Comforter bring consolation and prompting to pray rather than protest.
-
Allow Your glory to lift up the head that droops. May these eyes behold Your holiness for health, for You are Jehovah Rapha. Reveal Yourself as the merciful Healer that You are. Restore this pilgrim, giving strength and healing to the tired body, relief to the anguished soul, and may that which is broken be put together again.
-
Perhaps we are praying for someone that is angry with You, lashing out at others. Heal all emotional hurts and broken hearts. There is overwhelming pain, LORD, Bring comfort and peace, and restore peace with others.
-
You have heard this pilgrim’s prayers, seen the tears. Thank You that You have provided healing and wholeness through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross at Calvary. Lord Jesus, just as You reminded John the Baptist, remind Your wearied pilgrim,
-
“the blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.”
-
Bring soundness, O Healer, from the soles of the feet to the top of the head. Heal the wounds and welts and open sores. Cleanse them, bandage them, and sooth them with oil.
-
LORD, if there is sin that has not been confessed, may Your gentle Spirit reveal it. If this is a test, strengthen Your pilgrim to have courage and wisdom through the hard times.
-
Psalm 119:67, 71
-
“Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word…It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.”
-
The Lord Jesus is the Great Physician. Help this pilgrim not to bypass Him on the way to the doctor’s office.
-
Bring caring family and friends to be there to help this weary pilgrim through this.
-
The significance behind the wood from the cross where the Lord Jesus died provides sweetness to the bitter water at Marah. Only the Lord Jesus, the living water, can sweeten the bitterness of life under the sun.
-
Thank You LORD for delivering Your church out of bitter bondage. At Your Word,
-
“I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee,”
-
we believe and receive it with much gratitude, in Jesus name. Amen.
